Summary

Metal detecting recovered a large number of finds dating from the Roman to the post medieval period. These include Roman brooches, Early Saxon brooches, a Middle Saxon brooch, a Late Saxon brooch, a Late Saxon weedhook, a medieval sword belt fitting and a medieval buckle plate. Roman, medieval and post medieval coins and jettons were also found.

Medieval rectangular buckle plate, front part 16 x 38mm with pin slot, frame recesses, three rivet holes (one with dome-headed rivet), gilded, borders of double lines of punched addorsed triangles, back aprt incomplete. 13th/14th century.
