Summary

Undated shallow ditches were seen here before 1974 and prehistoric burnt flints were recovered. Excavations before residential development in 1983 found no archaeological finds.

Pre 1974.
Shallow ditches seen by [1]. Not shown on (S1). Same east to west alignment as strip fields to south (NHER 2864). At 9858 1285 (= context 1) pot boilers.

June 1983.
Northeast part of area excavated for housing estate.
Not seen until after road laid and spoil spread over plots, but no finds made in this area.
