Summary

Metal detecting recovered a large number of finds dating from the Roman to the post medieval period. These include an Early Saxon bracelet, a Late Saxon 'Borre' style brooch, a medieval sword chape and many other medieval metal objects. Roman coins and medieval jettons were also found. Pieces of Roman, medieval and post medieval pot were recorded. Some of the objects may have been found at NHER 1955.

1990. Found during ploughing.
Note that some finds from NHER 1953 were not kept separate.
Early post medieval double-looped buckle fragment with rosettes on frame.
Thirteen Roman coins. See list in file.
Medieval silvered cast bronze bell fragment with suspension loop.
Cast vessel rim fragment.
Copper alloy convex stud or boss from ?belt.
Two rings- ?brooches or buckles.
