Metal-detecting between 1991 and 2007 recovered Mesolithic/Early Neolithic and Early Neolithic worked flints; Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman and medieval coins and Roman to post-medieval and undatable metal objects. The metal finds included a Roman brooch, cosmetic pestle and nail cleaner; a ?Roman unidentified object; Early Saxon brooches; a Late Saxon finger/ear ring and weight; medieval dress accessories, dagger-sheath chape, furniture mount, possible copper alloy ewer leg, padlock and lead weight; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and a book mount; post-medieval dress accessories, spurs, writing lead, crotal bell, Jew's harp, lead bird feeder and lead weights and undatable lead weights and stone hone.

Early Saxon copper alloy side knob from cruciform brooch, half round with broad transverse groove between three engraved lines and overlapping flange, reverse hollow with longitudinal perforation for transverse bar for iron pin. 20 x 11mm.
