Summary

Fieldwalking recovered prehistoric worked flints and fragments of prehistoric, Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery. Some of the pottery pieces identified as Early Saxon may be Iron Age. There are two concentrations of Roman and Early Saxon finds. These suggest this may have been an area of Roman and Early Saxon settlement with slightly different locations.
