Name:Multi-period settlement

Summary

Fieldwalking recovered prehistoric worked flints and fragments of Iron Age or Early Saxon, Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery. The concentration of Roman finds suggests this may have been an area of Roman settlement. The presence of Early Saxon or Iron Age pottery suggests this was also the location of Iron Age or Early Saxon settlement. There is also evidence for settlement here in the medieval period.
