Summary
Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a few pieces of worked gunflint and fragments of medieval pot. A Roman enamelled disc brooch was found. Later metal detecting recovered an Early Bronze Age narrow flat axehead, two faces from Roman statuettes, medieval coins and jettons and a 15th century weight for an Angel. The Roman statuettes were of Minerva and a youth.

Full description
5 April 1988. Fenland fieldwalking.
Good weathered soil, part ploughed, part young cereal.
Context one. MTW FW.
Odd flints and one or two fragments of medieval pottery.

Roman circular bronze brooch, inlaid with blue and red enamel, much still in situ. Pin at back very bent. Domed at centre.
