Summary

A concentration of Neolithic worked flints was identified at this site in 1983. Flints found at this time and during fieldwalking the following year included Early Neolithic leaf arrowheads and laurel leaf and Neolithic polished and flaked axeheads, scraper, core, retouched flakes and waste flakes. A single flint of possible Mesolithic date and a possible Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age flint dagger was also recovered.

1983. Stray Find.
Found when working on land:
Concentration of Neolithic worked flints including many scrapers, 1 cutting edge of polished axe (S1), cores, flakes and 1 Early Neolithic leaf shaped arrowhead.
Most productive of all Beck Farms sites.
Identified and compiled by E. B. Green (NCM) 2 September 1983.

April 1984. Fieldwalking.
Area extended to northwest:
1 Early Neolithic crude flint laurel leaf point, possibly a roughout failure.
5 Neolithic flint scrapers, 3 flakes with slight signs of retouch or use, 1 blade-like flake with retouched edges, and 1 crude bifacial pebble chopper.

1 ?Mesolithic worked flint.
Early Neolithic flint leaf arrowheads.
2 Neolithic flint scrapers (one very large), 1 flake, 1 broken axehead, 1 reused axehead
1 ?Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age broken flint, possibly failed Beaker dagger or leaf point.
