Summary
A World War One pillbox is located at the west end of St Olave's Bridge. It is constructed of concrete and was built between 1916 and 1918. An office was placed on top of it in the mid 20th century.

Full description
Pillbox. West end of St Olave's Bridge.
Polygonal, concrete. Johnson's office of wood now built on top, and pediments added to gun slits.
First noted by Pillbox Survey.
Illustrated in (S1).

Building Preservation Notice levied November 1997.
Listed Grade II in March 1998.

The World War One pillbox is visible on aerial photographs (S5). This structure is located within an area of barbed wire defences, which enclose and protect the river crossings, see NHER 43670 for details.
