Full description

1949. Stray Find.
Near Peddars Way in hedge by Sedgeford Plantation:
Roman upper stone of rotary quern, greyish sandstone, worn lopsided. Two side holes pierce vertical hole. See sketch (S1).
Nothing in situ but perhaps came from breach in bank on opposite side at TF 7291 3531.
