Summary

A windmill is marked here on the first edition 1 inch Ordnance Survey map. This post windmill was known as Hythe Mill. There was a post mill here before 1710. It was last used in 1883 and was demolished in 1886. A Watching Brief on the site in 1997 found no evidence for the location of the windmill.

Site of wind mill.
Marked on (S1).

Known as Hythe Mill. A post mill there before 1710. Last used 1883, demolished 1886.
