Full description
1980. Metal-detecting.
Found with metal detector in dredgings on river bank at [1].
Coin of House of Constantine, Constantinopolis, mint illegible, AD 330 to 335.
Another, Gloria Exercitus, 1 standard, AD 335 to 341.
Coin of Valentinian I, Valens, or Gratian, GLORIA ROMANORUM, Arles, AD 364 to 375.
Identified and compiled by S. Margeson (NCM), 1980.
Information from (S1).
When first created this record was incorrectly mapped at [2], which is in the adjacent parish of Bridgham and not the location recorded on (S1). It appears that not long after this the above information was resupplied, which, due to the mapping error, resulted in the creation of a duplicate record (NHER 16263) at [1]. See note on (S1) for NHER 16263.
The mapped location of NHER 16105 has therefore now been corrected and the duplicate record revoked.
P. Watkins (HES), 17 May 2019.
