Summary

In 1941a German bomber crash landed in this area. Three of the four crew survived, and were later captured. Years after the war ended, the pilot returned to the area, but was unable to find any aircraft remains.

1941.
On lands of Eastmore Farm behind Old Swan Inn, by lane leading to Fakenham to Holt road.
Crash site. Heinkel III bomber. The crew escaped and were captured at Salthouse Heath. See (S1) in file.
