Full description
1976.
'Tumulus' reported on southern boundary of Whinhill Plantation, on boundary with Tittleshall parish.
Information from [1], via NCM.
April 1978. Visit.
At extreme end of plantation with trees on it (but not of great age).
This indeed appears to be a barrow; about 23m by 13m, much spread, about 2m high from road.
To north is small pit, but unlikely to be upcast - pit is too small and too far away.
According to [2], informant [3] says this is a mill mound. However, the mill could easily have been put on a barrow.
[4] says there is a strong possibility, but not a certainty, that this is the Mylhill Furlong mentioned in 1613.

Much overgrown with scrub and brambles; difficult to assess; very irregular could be upcast from nearby pit.

Occasionally used as pheasant cover in shooting season.
