Full description

October 1976. 224 St. Faith's Road. Found in garden.
Grey ware rim sherd, flared rim, lip bent to form spout.
W. Milligan (NCM) says it could be medieval but A. Gregory (NAU) thinks the fabric seems Roman.
Information from NCM.
At time of above discovery, a second sherd was stated to have been shown to A. Gregory (NAU) who said it was Late Saxon.

One handle Late medieval/Trans.
Three base sherds medieval unglazed (one wheel turned).
Site is in former garden of Manor House (NHER 8130).

April 1995. Further finds in garden.
Three body sherds medieval unglazed (late 12th-14th century).
Narrow strap handle of Late medieval/Trans (15th-16th century).

Fresh shoulder sherd medieval unglazed jar, dark grey, sandy, weighing 7g. Probably early medieval ware.
