Several linear earthworks in parkland near Langhale House were once thought to relate to the deserted medieval village of Langhale. However the earthworks are probably field boundaries and hollow ways relating to the pre-parkland landscape.

Possible site of Langhale Domesday vill.
R.R. Clarke, (NCM).
But more probably around church at NHER 10144.

Earthworks in western side of park visited by E. Rose (NLA) 25 July 1990.
Probably drainage, with perhaps field boundaries predating 19th century park, not part of deserted medieval village.

September 2000.
Field under healthy pasture, grazed by sheep/horses.
Area being considered for a Countryside Stewardship scheme.
Survey carried out by [1] identified some linear features shown on early maps.

October 2004. Visit.
Slight earthworks in parkland west of Langhale House. Many old parkland trees. Two possible hollow ways observed, one cut by later circular depression. Tom Williamson has been to visit. Countryside Stewardship Scheme considered but not implemented at present. Grazed by sheep and horses.
