Full description

September 1846.
Tumulus by Dog Kennel Soakaway dug by Sir John Boileau.
Rim sherd of light grey sandy fabric, probably 12th century, (S1) in file, and 2 sherds prob medieval with scraps of animal bone and iron.

The grid reference is a square which on the tithe map contains the Dog Kennel, the surrounding field being the Dog Kennel Pasture. As the structure is by the stream presumably the Soakaway was by the same spot.

A.J. Lawson (NAU) suggests this may in fact be the same as site NHER 9481, misplaced.
Site at grid reference is now quarried and very wet.
