In about 1966 a number of sherds from a Roman buffware flagon were found by electricity men working on a chicken farm. The chicken farm may actually be in Hockham and was mistakenly referred to as being in Shropham.

Sherds from buffware flagon found while electricity men working on a chicken farm - no other information allowed!
Held by NCM, via KLM.

A possible site for this is the large battery farm centred on 970 926, which is in Hockham parish but which would probably be referred to as Shropham.
