Full description

1957. About 502m (550 yards) east of Vine Cottage, in Hornigo Field.
Polished flint axehead (broken).
Seen by R.R. Clarke (NCM)

Axe drawn (S1) by W.F. Milligan (NCM) 1964.
(S2) confirms above information, but then another letter dated May 14th says 'the broken flint axehead' was found in 'Hingham field Ordnance Survey no 26' which is an entirely different site, see NHER 13880. Is this a correction, or a reference to a different find?
E. Rose (NCM)
