Summary
Records suggest that a person who committed suicide was buried at this site during the post medieval period. The origin of the name 'Capp's Bush' is not clear, although the name appears on a map of 1794 (as well as modern Ordnance Survey maps).

Full description
A suicide burial site (S1).
Must indicate that this was once a crossroads. A small bush still grows out of the ?Peddars Way (NHER 1289) bank below an oak tree.

The bush is drawn on a map of 1794 at Merton Hall, but seems to be positioned farther into the field than on Ordnance Survey map.
