A medieval stirrup was found on the site of the medieval ford across the river in 1905. In the 19th century an Elizabethan shilling was found in the same area.

Full description

1905. In bed of River Ant. West side of Wayford Bridge.
Bronze stirrup; from site of medieval ford; see (S1).
(S2) called it Roman stated it may be going to Liverpool Museum.

Also Elizabethan shilling found here in 19th century.
