Summary

Fieldwalking in the 1960s and 1970s recovered a small number of medieval and post medieval pottery sherds, prehistoric flint flakes and scrapers, as well as eight Late Bronze Age pottery sherds, one Roman pottery sherd and a penny minted under William III. A concentration of prehistoric pot boilers was also recorded. Metal detecting in 2002 recovered a small number of medieval and post medieval metal objects.

1960s to 1970s. Fieldwalking at [1].
Context 1: Small number of medieval and post medieval pottery sherds. Prehistoric flint flakes and scrapers. Eight Late Bronze Age pottery sherds, one Roman pottery sherd, two fragments of slag. William III penny.
Context 2: Three scrapers and one slag fragment.
Context 3: Area of prehistoric pot boilers.
