Summary

Fieldwalking in the 1960s and 1970s recovered a small number of prehistoric flakes, retouched flakes and scrapers from this area, along with at least one concentration of pot boilers. Pottery sherds from the Middle and Late Saxon period, as well as the medieval and post medieval period have also been found. Fragments of vitrified brick and a medieval copper alloy wedge or chisel have also been found.

1960s-1970s. Fieldwalking finds.
Fieldwalking in the 1960s and 1970s recovered a small number of prehistoric flakes, retouched flakes and scrapers from this area, along with at least one concentration of pot boilers. Pottery sherds from the Middle and Late Saxon period, as well as the medieval and post medieval period have also been found. Fragments of vitrified brick and a medieval copper alloy wedge or chisel have also been found.
