Springwood is a mid 19th century house in red brick with a plain tile roof. Built in two storeys, it has an asymmetric facade with slightly projecting gabled main entrance bay. The north wing to the house dates from the early 19th century and has two storeys in local brown brick with a ridge stack and a slate roof.

Listing Description Excerpt:
Springwood.
"Mid 19th century house. Red brick; plain tile roof, ridge stack and end stack to south. Two storeys. Asymmetric facade with slightly projecting, gabled, main entrance bay. Saw-tooth eaves cornice, moulded brick band between floors and label to window arches, moulded tiles and fleurons."
