Summary

A large early 17th century timber framed house with a black glazed pantile roof. It has a gabled cross wing at each end. The north wing has octagonal chimney flues on a large stack. The windows, some of which are leaded, are mainly 18th/19th century, the central porch and canted bay on the ground floor of the north wing are both 19th century.

Full description

Large early 17th century timber-frame house. Plastered. Black glazed pantile roof. Gabled cross wings at each end. North wing has large external brick chimney stack on north side with octagonal flues with moulded brick bases. Internal brick stack at junction with north wing with diagonally set shafts. Two storeys and attic (attic windows in gable ends). Mainly 18th/19th century three light casements, some with leaded panes. 19th century central brick porch, two storeys with stepped gable and doorcase with moulded architrave and fielded panel door. 19th century brick canted bay on ground floor north wing.
