Full description

November 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A possible World War Two pillbox is visible on aerial photographs (S1). It is located at TG 4751 1041. A concrete structure, possibly of hexagonal or circular form, is visible adjacent to a drainage ditch on July 1946 RAF aerial photographs (S1). It is possible that this is a World War Two pillbox, but its type cannot be determined. It is not clearly visible on June 1946 aerial photographs (S2), but may still have been camouflaged at that date. It is not present on 1951 aerial photographs and had presumably been demolished by that date (S3).
J. Albone (NMP), 01 November 2005
