Summary
Bury Manor was recorded by various 19th century maps and documents as existing here. It was shown as a group of large buildings with a lake in grounds to west. However, the ruins of any buildings are currently obscured by the heavily overgrown vegetation. Test pitting in 2013 recovered medieval to post-medieval pottery sherds; undated and post-medieval to modern ceramic building material; post-medieval clay tobacco pipe fragments; post-medieval to modern glass sherds and undated animal bones and clinker.

Full description
Depicted on (S1) as group of large buildings with lake in grounds to west, similar on (S2) but without the lake. It also appears on (S3) but not on (S4) or (S5) although this may only be due to the small scale of these.
NHER 23176 refers to ruins being present at that time.
Site now stated by Borough Council to be an overgrown jungle.
