Summary

Metal-detecting here in 2004 recovered a medieval or post-medieval discoidal lead weight and the end cap of an early post-medieval iron knife. Metal-detecting in 2009 recovered Early Neolithic retouched flakes, an Early/Middle Saxon buckle and medieval/post-medieval metal objects.

Full description

Before February 2004. Metal-detecting. Six figure grid reference [1] supplied by finder.
Medieval or post-medieval discoidal lead weight (diameter 20mm, thickness 4 mm) with central perforation (diameter 5.5mm on one face, 3mm on other). Surfaces pitted. Weighing 178.8 grains. Perhaps for eight pennyweights (192 grains). If so, then a weight loss of 7%.
