Full description

August 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of a medieval to post medieval bank and ditch are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred around TG 3555 3050. The bank is aligned north to south along the parish boundary between Happisburgh and Witton and is likely to relate to this land division. Historically the land to the east of this boundary was Walcott parish, but this area has since been amalgamated into Happisburgh parish. The ditch extends perpendicular to the bank and is likely to be a medieval to post medieval drainage ditch associated with the extant field pattern.
J. Albone (NMP), 27 August 2004.
