An archaeological evaluation in 2003 revealed a pit which produced a single sherd of pottery probably dating to the Iron Age. Undated linear features were also discovered.

October 2003. Trial Trenching.
Eleven trial trenches excavated. To Context 504.
A pit produced a single sherd of probable Iron Age date.
Undated linear features were also revealed.
