Summary

Metal detecting here in 2003 recovered various metal objects and coins. Finds included a Neolithic flint flake, part of an Early Saxon square-headed brooch, an unusual medieval buckle with a stylised animal head mount and a Roman coin of Julian II. Fieldwalking around the same time identified a scatter of what was believed to be medieval pottery. A number of prehistoric worked flints and potentially prehistoric burnt flints were also recovered.
