Summary
This building was constructed as a town house for accommodation of the poor in 1748. It later became a workhouse before it was sold off in 1841. The upper floor was raised at around this time and numerous other alterations were made during the 20th century.

Full description
Constructed as a town house (for accomodation of the poor) in 1748.
Later became a workhouse.
Sold off in 1841; upper floor raised, perhaps at this date.
Altered 20th century.
