Full description

January 2001. NMP.
Four areas of ridge and furrow are visible at TF 72 43 on 1945 APs (S1). Very little of this is visible on the 1971 AP (S2), just a few faint earthworks at TF 727 438, as the field has been ploughed and re-seeded. The ridge and furrow is quite narrow and straight which suggests it is post medieval in date.
A. Hunt (NMP), 24 January 2001.

January 2002. Norfolk 2002. Norfolk NMP.
(NGR amended from original TF 7272 4375).
A possible further 3 areas of ridge and furrow can be seen on RAF 1946 aerial photographs (S3); these are to the west of the patches previously mapped by Suffolk CC for NMP. These are located at TF7253 4377, TF7239 4375 and TF7258 4361 (centre points). It is possible that this isn’t ridge & furrow and is actually some form of drainage? However, the northern 2 areas (the first two listed above) are clearly visible on the Hunting Survey aerial photograph (S4). Here these 2 pockets definitely appear like ridge and furrow, more so than the third area.
H. Clare (NMP), 9 May 2002.
