Full description

1944 & 1967. RAF and Ordnance Survey air photography.
A section of sea bank is visible as an earthwork and soilmark extending from TF 634 260 to TF 640 257, northwest of North Wootton.
The bank overlays a number of salterns in this area and presumably dates from the late medieval or early post medieval periods. The eastern end appears to split in two, but it is not clear if these are contemporary, different phases, or if one is merely the result of ditch clearance.
See NMP plot (S1) in file.
