Full description

THE CROPMARKS DESCRIBED BELOW ARE NOW RECORDED AS NHER 38499.

28 June 1996. NLA aerial photography.
Cropmark of rectangular enclosure visible at NGR TG 2323 3586.
Half of the enclosure is masked by a field/crop not giving a response. The enclosure has rounded corners and a central entrance gap in its northwest side. It has the appearance of a small temporary Roman camp, although it is just as likely to be a Roman settlement enclosure, just bearing structural similarities.
A sinuous trackway also runs dfiagonally across the site from SE to NW.
Several linear fetures are also visible.
S. Massey (NLA), 9 October 2001.
