Metal detecting and fieldwalking from the early 1990s to 2000 recovered a wide range of objects, including a Neolithic flint arrowhead and Roman, Saxon, medieval and post medieval coins and pottery fragments. A metal detecting survey between May and June 2001 recovered a penny dating to c. 1938 and pieces of copper alloy scrap metal
