Full description

April 1946.
Cropmark and linear stip of vegetation suggest roadway within park, extending northwards from bend in road, towards the church. Looks to be a former line prior to parkland extension to the east to existing road.
B. Cushion (NLA), 16 February 1999.

13 June 1969. Ordnance Survey aerial photography.
Earthworks. Linear feature. Raised bank.
I have a feeling that this field is now arable.
D. Voisey (NLA), 9 November 1995.

May 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A linear bank feature is clearly visible as an earthwork (S1-S2) and a cropmark (S3) on aerial photographs, on land to the east of Spixworth Hall. It is depicted as a field boundary on the Spixworth Tithe map (S4), and has therefore not been mapped. Undated linear bank features were visible as negative cropmarks in this area. It is possible that they relate to the northern-most stretch of the Roman road reported to run from Brampton to Thorpe St Andrew (NHER 7598), visible from TG2402 1547 to TG 2412 1490 (NHER 52126).
E. Bales (NMP), May 2010.
