Name:Possible Bronze Age round barrow

Summary

A circular feature, a possible Bronze Age round barrow, that was recorded during the 1930s, 1940s and 1970s and that is visible on aerial photographs. In the 1930s/1940s it was about 0.6m tall but by 1976 it was only 0.3m tall. As it has not been seen during field observations since 1976, it may have been ploughed flat.

Full description

Bowl barrow.
About 18m (20 paces) diameter, height 0.6m (2 feet). No visible ditch. Covered in gorse. About 45.7m (50 yards) west of sign post at road fork.

1976.
Doubtful barrow 32m diameter, 30cm high. Whole heath undulates, looking deceptive when grassed but like normal breck heath when ploughed.
