Full description

June 1998. Metal detecting finds.
Area at east end of field.
3 medieval coins.
See list in file.
Copper alloy medieval buckle frame, thickly covered with silver coating (identified by NCM Conservation). Oval frame with pointed and grooved pin rest and offset bar. Pin missing. Plate has pin slot and frame recesses and is rectangular and undecorated. Remains of single iron rivet at open end. 14th century.
Early post medieval clothing fastener. Copper alloy. Oval plate, hollow and domed, decorated with engraved ?plant motif, with one pierced lobe at one end and a rectangular loop, flanked by two more pierced lobes, at the other.
