Summary

Regular metal detecting from 1996 to 2006 recovered a large number of objects from the prehistoric to post medieval periods, including a Roman figure of a goat, and a fragment of Roman cast blue-green window glass. Prehistoric flints, a Bronze Age sword blade fragment, and coptic bowl fragments have also been recovered, along with Iron Age, Romano-British, Early Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery fragments. In 2009 metal detecting recovered Romano-British pottery, a Late Saxon strap end and medieval/post-medieval metal objects.
