Summary

Fieldwalking here in 1996 recovered several prehistoric flints and sherds of Middle Saxon and medieval pottery. Subsequent metal detecting at this site in 2002 recovered a variety of metal objects including a Bronze Age button, fifty-three Roman coins, medieval buckles, a post-medieval cloth seal and weight made from copper alloy. Geophysical and fieldwalking surveys between 2002 and 2003 detected pit-like features and remains of ridge and furrow ploughing and recovered flint flakes and ceramic building material.

November 2002 - January 2003. Geophysical, metal detecting and fieldwalking survey. Bacton to King's Lynns plot 243.
Geophysical survey detected a small group of pit-like anomalies near the westen edge of the plot. A number of anomalies to the east are probably the remains of ridge and furrow ploughing. Fieldwalking recovered six flint flakes and two ceramic building material fragment.
