A visit to the woods here in 1996 recorded various earthworks including wood boundaries, water courses, possible wagon soaks and osier beds. A number of burnt prehistoric flints were also recovered.

Full description

1996. Field Observation.
Visit to Sporle Wood resulted in identification of earthworks including wood boundaries, water courses, wagon soaks? and osier beds.
Some burnt flint.
