Summary

Extensive metal detecting in this area during 1995-99 recovered a large number of metal objects and coins. Noteworthy finds included a Roman ovoid ring of uncertain function, an Early Saxon girdle hanger, a Middle Saxon pin, a medieval seal matrix, a Roman nail cleaner and an Iron Age Iceni silver coin.

Ovoid ring of uncertain function. Surface is polished on inside and rough externally. 28 x 23mm, hoop 9-11mm wide. Looks Roman.
