Summary

Metal detecting in 1995 recovered part of what has been tentatively identified as an Early Saxon gold bracelet. Experts at the British Museum were unable to identify or date the object confidently, but it is noted that two stamped motifs were used and it is not thought to be modern.

July 1995. Metal detecting. [1]
Part of a Early Saxon gold bracelet formed of folded tapering thick sheet plain end; other end roughly transversely cut. Two stamped motifs used, a square with cross and dots in angles and one approximately to a crew cut bust looking right.
