Summary

A range of objects, including Roman coins and a brooch, medieval coins, buckles, strap ends, candlestick fragments, belt fittings, a brooch, pilgrim bottle, spur terminal and gilded horse harness pendant recovered by metal detecting. Pieces of medieval and post medieval pot and post medieval coins, jettons and other objects were also found. The large number of medieval finds including pottery and building materials suggests this may have been the site of medieval to post medieval settlement.
