Metal-detecting between 1994 and 2015 recovered a Neolithic flint arrowhead; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval tokens and a jetton and undated and Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an undated ring and weight; a Bronze Age spearhead tip; a Roman pin; Early Saxon brooch; Middle Saxon strap fitting; Middle/Late Saxon mount; Late Saxon dress component, part of a harness and stirrup; a Late Saxon/medieval stirrup-strap mount and mount; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval ampulla, key, pin, seal and stud; a medieval/post-medieval dress fastener and copper alloy vessel leg and a post-medieval book clasps, a rotary key, sword belt hanger, double barrel purse frame and a pin.

End of Roman bronze knob-headed hair pin.
Frame part of medieval strap end buckle with two openwork rectangles, most missing.
Small medieval bronze buckle, D-shaped, plate with two rivets and transverse grooves at frame end.
Late medieval ewer spout in form of animal head with engraved edges and snout.
Identified by A. Rogerson (NLA).
Incomplete leaf arrowhead.

Foot of cruciform brooch, neat protruding eyes, nostrils. Not florid.

Early Saxon cruciform brooch knob, very nice. In the round with projecting ribbed lug to sit over edge of head-plate and drilled hole through knob for pin bar. Waisted, two pairs of engraved lines on each side of waist, row of punched dots closest to head-plate. Polaroid (S1) NCM.
Middle Saxon strap end, very elongated animal head. Split end broken off. Rectangular field in centre (decoration of silver wire inlaid in niello now gone). Animal has pelta-shaped field between ears. Polaroid (S1) NCM.
Medieval shield-shaped harness pendant, with two lions rampant (red enamel). Third one missing.
Early post medieval book clasp decorated with ring-and-dot, zig-zag near hook and curious stamped lentoid shapes with borders of pellets (? Fish!) and smaller stamps in between.
