In 1960 an Iron Age horse bit of copper alloy with iron rings was recovered from this area. It was of the three link type, believed to derive from Yorkshire and date to the 1st century BC.

March 1960. Stray Find.
Found in Ordnance Survey Field 419 - 10.269 acre field. [1].
Iron Age copper alloy horse bit. Iron rings sheathed in copper alloy, three link type, Yorkshire 1st century BC. See drawings (S1) and (S2).
Held by Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1960.72).
