Extensive metal detecting in this area from 1993 to 2000 unearthed a range of multi period metal objects. This collection was composed of, amongst others, a Bronze Age palstave,
a Roman nail cleaner and a medieval sword belt fastener.

1993. Metal detector finds.
Middle Bronze Age palstave, (S1).
Roman brooch. Colchester derivative, dated to around 50-75. Southwest type (what is it doing here?). Polaroid (S2) in file.
