Summary

In early 1993 five sherds of probable Late Saxon pottery were recovered, along with a Late Saxon strap end fragment and a gilded copper alloy medieval buckle or belt fitting.

Full description

Early 1993.
One jar rim with internal 'lid seating', probably Late Saxon Thetford-type, although in micaceous Roman-style fabric. Four bodysherds, probably Late Saxon Thetford-type.
Fragment of bronze Late Saxon openwork strap end. See photograph (S1).
Gilded bronze unusual buckle or belt-fitting fragment; double- looped frame with pierced hole in centre of one side, medieval.
