Summary

Metal detecting at this location over the period 1993-99 recovered a wide range of metal objects and coins. Finds of note included a Roman terret, an Early Saxon brooch, a Late Saxon buckle, a Middle Saxon/Late Saxon lead weight with gilded Viking animal ornamentation, a medieval belt-chape and an early post medieval mount from belt or bag.

Two Roman coins.
Two medieval/Post medieval jettons.

Also at location [1], a ?Charles I siege base metal counterfeit; on one side a castle CI, on the other a lion.
